The institute currently imparts training in four group 'A' courses, in which the minimum educational qualification required for admission is the educational qualification prescribed for group 'A' ie passing high school or equivalent examination with 35 percent marks.
Each course is three years and admission is through the Joint Entrance Examination (Polytechnic) held in May every year. Applications for the entrance examination can be filled online on the website of the Joint Entrance Examination Council, Lucknow http://jeecup.nic.in from the month of January.
