Government Polytechnic, Budaun, the premier technical institute of the district Budaun, having a glorious history of nearly 37 years, was established in the year 1983 in a very calm and picturesque environment at the western end of the district and 50 km from Bareilly District headquarters. Located on Budaun Moradabad Road, about 2.5 km from the district headquarters, this institute, spread over an area of about 32 acres, occupies a special place in the heart of Uttar Pradesh and North India.
Among the various buildings built in the institute are the main building, the extension building, the workshop and the children's hostel with 90 beds. Apart from this, Fertilizer Lab, II Cell, Guest House, Canteen, Dispensary, NCC Block etc. are also built. A total of nine houses of different categories have been constructed for the staff.
According to the standards established by the state government and All India Council for Technical Education, buildings, land, laboratories, infrastructure etc. are available in the institution. Besides, all facilities necessary for the all-round development of students such as library, adequate furniture, pure drinking water, power backup, computers, internet, sporting goods etc. are also available as per the standards.
The institute has a total of four branches of a three-year diploma course, each with an admission capacity of 75 seats.
